Who is an occupational therapist?


An occupational therapist, also called OT, is a health professional who is responsible for helping people with mental with mental, physical or social disabilities to independently carry out everyday tasks or occupations. He/she create the individual treatment programme for his/her patients to help them out everyday tasks or occupations. To improve the condition of the physical or mental condition of patient he/she may suggest change in environment which may be at home, work or school of the patient and may introduce the use of equipment which will help with some activities.

How do I become occupational therapist?


To become an occupational therapist one should hold at least one of the following degrees:

• Bachelor of Science (B. Sc. in Occupational Therapy)
• Master of Science (M. Sc. in Occupational Therapy)
• Diploma in Occupational Therapy
