MNC Culture is a boon or curse for the country?

Introduction

MNCs are all we know when we talk of employment and job opportunities. MNCs have opened a wide ray of scope to the Indians especially the monetary aspect which has given a high level of living standard for our citizens. Though many of us have this point of view, still there are many others who think conversely. MNCs have equally made the worse of our men and our economy. This aspect is equally true and do have many valid points to favour the same. Lets us check whether the MNC culture is a boon or curse for the country.

Boon

- MNCs are mostly lucrative due to their high salary offer and additional perks. This is what Indians are looking for in today’s era to have more and more money to fill their bank accounts and make them financially sound.

- MNCs do have employee support in the form of transportation facilities and cafetarias to compensate the odd working hours. They also provide the employee friendly policies for the better relationship between the organization and the employees.

- Indians could get along the globalization and match their pace with the world only after the emergence of the MNCs and their culture into the Indian markets.

- Youth today have a very modern outlook with respect to their eating habits, clothing, language and interactive ability and almost every aspect of the personality growth.

- Work culture has improved to a very good extent with a enhanced productivity for the organization only with the MNC culture in India.

Curse

- MNCs are a major reason for the brain drain in the country. Our master minds are working for the appraisal for some other country leaving back their own nation in the paths of darkness.

- MNCs into the India is nothing but an initiation of slow and progressive economic slavery to the foreign nations.

- We have lost much of the entrepreneur skills with the emergence of the MNCs

- We have lost our wealth of manpower for accomplishing the tasks and service to the citizens of foreign countries.

- Youth today have lost their patriotic feel while flowing into the MNC culture. They don’t possess any due respect for the country.

- We have lost our culture and values in the mist of MNCs culture and westernization. Our rich culture has lost its charm and our uniqueness has been doomed down in the shades.

- MNC culture has given rise to rotational shifts and work culture round the clock which has given rise to ‘n’ number of new diseases.

Conclusion

Though we can give many arguments to favour the MNC culture in India, still we cannot deny the fact that it has overshadowed our rich culture, civilization, respect and human values. Even if we keep apart these abstract emotions, the MNCs haven’t left us healthy enough to enjoy the wealth that we earn from their lucrative salary and the incentives. All we have today is gloominess with pockets filled with hot cash. Our life style has modernised and standard of living has raised, but we lack time to enjoy all these stuff. Thus, the MNCs are no more than a curse for our country.

  • MNCs although are a good source of money to indians but Indians should not be a prey of brain drain and should try to have a job in a indian country.
they can also establish their own commercial business to make india a promoter of commercial lines and also a leading share in the share market.

  • yes it is correct that because of MNC there is brain drain but before considering it as a curse we should think why our talented Indians move towards foreign countries .The reason behind this is after having a good education people are not getting employed in India and their education is valued in foreign countries and they get higher pay pay over there which is necessary for having a standard living in today's scenario.for example an engineering student from Instrumentation branch has no value in the North side of India only in few parts of south where there are MNC's he is valued so why he will not move to that side thus before saying curse to MNC's for our country we have to see the condition without it.

  • ya it is right that MNCs are curse our country up to some extent. but on the other hand if we think and compare the situation and standard of living of our people's today and before globalization then this comparison itself speaks a lot.
and there is point that today's youth lost their patriotic feelings but there are number of examples that throw a light on the actual feelings of our youth. today's youth also want to serve their nation but due to this bureaucratic environment in our country they can't.
many of them who have good salary and perks in MNCs but still they are ready to serve nation with their own idea and vision without that pearks but we all know the actual situation. and everybody wants to safeguard their self and their family against financial crisis and MNCs are giving that opportunity to them.
that's why there is no fault of youth in all this..

  • pre liberalization of India competition in any sector was very less so the prices were high (eg: air fares), and services were poor.Post liberalization due to introduction of MNC's into local markets has improved quality of products and prices were reduced.
MNC culture has transformed india from being backward country to developing country.

we should encourage MNC culture so as to maintain good foreign relations and for appreciation of rupee.

govt. should encourage by cutting down taxes for upcoming entrepreneur instead of MNCs.

MNCs have created a lot of job opportunities with high salaries which can be in turn used as capital for a new business.

coming to the conclusion MNCs will sure help you to understand global markets and business tactics, but it depends on individual to be a slave or a leader.

  • MNC culture has got its own share of pros and cons. If it has some benefits, then it also incurs brings some disadvantages with it. MNC culture is the way to walk with the changing world. Globalization has made the entire world a small place for the businesses. It has encouraged the cross border trades and investments. MNCs are a crucial part of the globalization.

MNC is the convenient way to carry out the cross border trade and reduce the fiscal deficit. The foreign funds can enter in the domestic world. They provide the endless job opportunities to the people. Employment rate improves with the new multinational corporations.

MNC culture builds a good competitive platform that gives rise to the products of high quality at most affordable rates. The per capita GDP growth sees a boost. The neighbor countries can have better professional relationships. It paves way for the mergers and acquisitions resulting in improved economies of scale.

Apart from the benefits, MNC culture has its own set of drawbacks. The MNC culture thinks more about their profit that sometimes comes at expense of customers. The large dominant players eat up small retail firms. The MNCs have a history of exploiting labors in terms of low wages and salaries. Some of the MNCs take the advantage of tax structures where they are not bound to pay any taxes in the operating countries. Comparing the pros and cons, the valid conclusion is that we cannot create success, we have to attract success.
