Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad Appointed As Next Chairman of PCI
Former apex court judge Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad was appointed on 24th November as the next chairperson of the Press Council of India (PCI).
About Justice C. K. Prasad
The former SC judge will now succeed Justice Markenday Katju as the Chairman of the PCI. Justice C. K. Prasad was selected by a committee headed by Vice President Hamid Ansari.
• Born on 15th of July in the year 1949, Justice C. K. Prasad completed his high school education from Patna High School. He passed his Secondary School Examination from this institution.
• Following this, the former SC judge graduated in science from Magadh University. He is a law graduate from Patna University as well.
• Justice Prasad enrolled as an advocate on 27th November in the year 1973. He practiced in Civil, Constitutional, Criminal and Service matters at the Patna HC.
• He was appointed as an Additional Advocate General of Bihar state in the year 1993. A year later in November, he was elevated as a permanent judge of the Patna HC and in the same year, he was also transferred to MP HC.
• Justice Prasad took oath as the Chief Justice of Allahabad HC on 20th March, 2009. In February 2010, he was elevated as an SC Judge.
• Justice Prasad has also been the Acting Chief Justice of Patna HC from march 3rd, 2008 to May 12th 2008. He was elevated as a Judge of the SC on February 8th, 2010.
He has held various offices including the office of the Vice President of the English Speaking Union of Commonwealth.
Justice Prasad retired in mid July and the 65 year old will now succeed Katju whose 3 year term ends on October 11.
Regarding the Press Council of India
The Press Council of India was first constituted in the year 1966 on 4th July. It is an autonomous, statutory, quasi judicial body. The PCI is aiming to help newspapers maintain their independence and to build a code of conduct for media and journalists as per the highest standards of professionalism. PCI also works to ensure the maintenance of standards of public taste and foster a sense of rights as well as responsibilities of citizenship within the media. A sense of responsibility and public service among journalists is also aimed for by the Press Council of India. PCI also reviews assistance of newspaper or news agencies in India from foreign agency services as referred and indicated by the Central/ Union Government.

- A person who with his younger brother criminally trespasses others campus particularly in the houses of two different minority communities on two separate and different ocassions and beats up inmate of the house and also traumatise and scream and swear at the family members only to show their power and might, grabs government road encroaching upon creating menace for us, making illegal construction just a year or so ago, breaking and blocking others drain creating a menace again by his relentless criminal proclivities, blocks road with his official cars which unfortunately symbolises the national identity and keeps on ransacking national property at will right left and centre yet becomes a judge of a high court and when there is a complaint against him yet the colleseium says that the complaints have been found to be baseless then one can imagine how such wicked, corrupt, criminal minded, treacherers of our nations are sitting at the top level of our country. The insoluble evidences which has been sent against the said judge sent are good enough reason to punish the whole set of people who closed their eyes and connived to facilitate such like-minded people to help them in their needs, but the queston is who is going to bell the cat as most of them are corrupt to the backbone and some of them even noble poses to be impotent in front of the dominating people who makes the final judgment. Though people of our age wont be living long but a time would certainly certiainly come when such people would be chased and butchered to death by the uprising and the people who are relentlessly being cheated of our privilages, rights and comforts merely on the strength of the power in hand. One day they wont have that opportunity to exercise their ill-gotten power as well when like the French Revollution people will barge into the premises of such wicked bereaucrats with bursting angers and tear them apart. The history shows everything. Even these serious comments of serious magnitude would have no meaning to people who would never dare to raise voice of any kind only concerned with own safety and protection or they can easily get imprisoned for so-called Contempt and thus the saga of wickedness and corruption goes on as ever. What a misery after all one has to decide at the end of the day. How this country be truly corruption free. Going to sleep. Good night.

- Just a while ago I sent my comments on the appointment of CK Prasad. here there is something more to add. I have lived in England well over a decade and extensively travelled in the western countries including the US and Canada. I have never seen such corrupt practices over there. One single complaint can make a big difference and every letter is replied to. I sent letter to the Queen of England Elizabeth 11 She answered gracefuly, I wrote to Tony Blair twice and got reply on both the ocassions but here the bastards dont have the time more importantly no guts except might is right.
These people in power are raping our motherland repeatedly but there is no voice. even when the matter is brought in the attention who is supposed to hear us doesnt answer. Surprisingly they talk about fairness, honesty and dutifulness. The bastards are in fact, no good then a group of criminals. I wanted that, the CJI can ask me questions in the witness box then I could have testified in the highest court of our country that, how after ll a man of terrible nature could enter the circle of such coveted and extremely sensitive area in the first place is now a big question to answer for these idiots who claim that charges against the person is found to be baseless. Do such people deserve death penalty ? Lot to add. I am going now and may return later.

- We dont live in an independent country to be very honest. I made a very serious complaint against CK Prasad with supportive documents in abandance to the Hon'nle President of India, the PM, the Home Minsiter, The Law minister, and many news papers long ago but with no effect , nor any reply from any quarter except the Law Minister that too under the RTI Act.
How this man could climb in such a place and position strongly justifies that we till this day are servants and have not been truly emancipated rather instead the British Raaj some wicked bureaucrats and politicians are running the country the way then can being so crimiinal minded, corrupt to the backbone and to whatever standard the intelligentia could comprehend. with all honesty.
