Education, Urbanization or a law is the key to control population growth in India

India is the 7th largest populated country in the world. It is the need of the hour to control the population growth in India, but what are the effective measures to curb the population growth, is it education or urbanisation or a strict law.

For:

- Regions were urbanisation has made its way, those regions have succeeded to a great extent in asphyxiating the population problem
- Education, incomes and urbanization go hand in hand and if all three are taken care of we can easily overcome this problem
- To curb the growth in population, the economic condition of India should be improved first and foremost
- Female education should be promoted and sex education should be an important part of the studies
- Manufacturing industries should be encouraged as there is a dire need of labour in these industries which is fulfilled by young people, hence giving the younger generation an economic support as well

Against:

- The number of jobs available in comparison to the number of people is way too less
- India is even now fighting with the pervasive paucity, vast number of the poor and all the efforts of edification, hygiene, healthcare and nourishment have gone in vain
- Vast population clubbed with the downfall in economy will worsen the situation all the more
- Chastising the population growth is requisite as the world is facing with a lot of glitches like the reduction of natural resources

Conclusion:

- The growing population is hampering the growth in our country. Either by education or by strict laws we should take strict measure to control the population, which is only when the laws applicable for the benefit of the public will be effective.

  • As we all know India is one of the largest populated countries in the world. And as a developing economy the high population growth of our country is an impediment to the growth and prosperity. To ensure that we soon become a developed nation the population growth of the country has to be controlled. Unless this is done we cannot aim for any development. And this population growth can be curbed only if proper education is imparted. By acquiring education people are aware of the cons of high population and they start looking at things from a new point of view. Female education is the most important need of the hour. Sex education should be made a compulsory part of the education system. Protective measures should be made available everywhere and the knowledge of it should spread throughout. Children as well as parents should be aware of the different aspects of it by giving utmost importance to family planning. Along with this if urbanization and a strict law are enforced to curb the population growth then our country will soon overcome the problem of high population growth.
