Senior IAS officer S N Sahai has been appointed as the new Home Secretary of Delhi. Sources said Home Ministry issued the order appointing Mr. Sahai, a 1986 batch Union Territory cadre officer. Mr. Sahai's name was zeroed in as a compromise candidate for the high post after continuous tussle between the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and the Arvind Kejriwal-led government on the issue.

Every year, the All England Club in London invites 60 overseas officials, and the 41-year-old Shaheen is one of them but the only one to create history.

Mrs Maliwal, wife of AAP leader Navin Jaihind, has been associated with Arvind Kejriwal since India Against Corruption days. She was working as adviser to Delhi Chief Minister on public grievances and handling Janta Samwad, before assuming the new responsibility. Promila Gupta, Farheen Malik and Sarika Chaudhary are members of the commission.

Commodore C D Balaji (Retd) on 3rd July’15 took charge as the Director of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Programme Director of the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA). He succeeded P S Subramanyam, Distinguished Scientist.

Deepak Mohanty is the RBI Executive Director. The Committee will work to spread the reach of financial services to unbanked population. The committee was constituted in reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address on the occasion of the Reserve Bank’s 80th anniversary wherein he asked the Bank to take the lead in encouraging financial institutions and to set a medium-to-long term target for sustainable financial inclusion.

Earlier he was Chairman of MP Electricity Regulatory Commission. He retired as an IAS officer after serving post of chief secretary of States.

The committee was formed against the backdrop of suicide attempt by four girl inmates at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) SAG Water Sports centre at Alappuzha, Kerala in May 2015 that resulted in death of one girl trainee.

He is currently working as Director General, National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development under the MSME Ministry.

On 9th April’15 Justice Navin Sinha sworn-in as Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court. Governor Balramji Das Tandon administered the oath of office to Mr. Sinha at Rajbhawan today. Till now Justice Sinha was the acting Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High court.

The President has appointed the senior-most Election Commissioner, Dr. Nasim Zaidi as the Chief Election Commissioner. A 1976 batch IAS officer, Dr Zaidi has worked in the Civil Aviation Ministry for a long time. The incumbent Chief Election Commissioner Harishankar Brahma will demit the office on the 18th of this month.

Sumit Mazumdar is a Chairman & Managing Director of TIL Limited. He succeeds Mr Ajay Shriram as the new President.

He succeeded S K Shivakumar, who superannuated on 31st March’2015.

Nepal President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has formally appointed Deep Kumar Upadhyay as ambassador to India and Dr Arjun Kumar Karki as ambassador to the United States of America. The appointments have been made on the recommendation of cabinet as per the Article 150 of the Interim Constitution.

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Rajeev Shukla was the IPL chairman till 2013 when he resigned from the post in the aftermath of the IPL 'spot-fixing' scandal. Sourav Ganguly was a new entrant to the IPL Governing Council while the senior national selection committee led by Sandeep Patil was retained for another season. Team India Director Ravi Shastri also remained in the IPL Governing Council. Another former captain Anil Kumble has been retained as chairman of the Technical committee while Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia will head the powerful finance committee.

He was serving as acting Chief Justice of Sikkim high court since 2014.
