▼ Birth anniversary of MM Kalburgi celebrated [11-30-15]
The launch of two forums and the release of the seventh title in the Maarga series marked the birth anniversary of late researcher MM Kalburgi. In Dharwad, researchers and students of Kalburgi came together to form “Nadoja M.M. Kalburgi Samshodhakara Sankula” and in Hubballi “Dr. M.M. Kalburgi Sahitya Sampada Vedike” was set up on 28th November. Veteran poet Channaveera Kanavi at a function in Dharwad released the seventh title in the Maarga series.
Prof. Kalburgi’s “Kettittu Kalyana” and “Samagra Samshodhaka: M.M. Kalburgi” third volume editions written by Mrutyunjay Rumale were also released.

▼ Kerala FM K. Mani, Thomas Unniyadan announce decision to resign [11-12-15]
Finance Minister of Kerala K. M. Mani made the decision to resign. From the ruling United Democratic Front, he resigned from the Oommen Chandy cabinet following adverse remarks from Kerala HC. Government Chief Whip Thomas Unniyadan also resigned from his post in solidarity with Mani.
