Year long birth centenary celebrations for Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay have started from September 26th, 2015. Deenadayal Upadhyay was the proponent of Antyodaya principle of economic and political philosophy. A film on Deendayal Upadhyay was also screened titled ‘Ekatm Bharat - Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ki Jeevan Yatra’.

Currently, only 4 women feature in Forbes list of 100 richest Indians including O P Jindal group Chairperson Savitri Jindal and generic drugs maker USV Pharma Chairperson Leena Tewari and Indu Jain of Bennett, Coleman & Co are the other two women in the list.The four women have a collective wealth of $9.2 billion and account for nearly three per cent of the total net-worth of all in the coveted list whose collective wealth is around $345 billion. Jindal, ranked 23rd on the list, was followed by newcomer Leena Tewari who chairs privately held generics maker USV Pharma, ranked 54th on the list and Indu Jain of Bennett, Coleman & Co was ranked 57th on the list with a networth of $1.9 billion. Industrialist Mukesh Ambani has retained the tag as India’s richest for the ninth year in a row with a net worth of $18.9 billion followed by Sun Pharma’s Dilip Shanghvi as second-richest with a net worth of USD 18 billion while Wipro’s Azim Premji retained his third place with $15.9 billion.

Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was a patriot, essayist and poet. He was born on 23rd September 1908 and passed away on 24th April 1974 aged 65. He was a freedom fighter and MP who won the following awards:

Born on April 21, 1926, Queen Elizabeth II has become the longest reigning British monarch beating her great great grandmother Queen Victoria who sat on the throne for 63 years, 7 months. The Buckingham Palace released an official photo of the queen taken by former Beatle Paul McCartney’s daughter, photographer Mary McCartney. Queen Elizabeth II was educated at home and she was originally third in line to the throne. When her father became King George VI in 1936, she became first in line. She married Philip Mountbatten, who was made Prince Philip, duke of Edinburgh after the wedding. She has 4 children: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. She ascended the throne on June 2, 1953 and introduced several reforms to the monarchy.
