A bit over 18 years after the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) was enforced in Tripura, the state government on 27th May’15 decided to withdraw the Act. The State government has revoked the AFSPA as insurgency is on the wane and the situation has improved over the past one year.

The Festival is being organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The website www.niti.gov.in will provide details of the constitution, functions and current activities of the Aayog. The website has a unique feature of NITI Blogs, which will incorporate articles, field reports, work in progress, and opinions by NITI officials.

The party seems to wait for the directions from Jayalithaa and then O Paneerselvam will resign as Chief Minister. Only then AIADMK party MLAs can elect Jayalaithaa as the legislative party leader. After that the letter of support by party MLAs will be given to Governor Dr K Rosaiah. Then the day of taking over as Chief Minister will be announced. Jayalalithaa had taken over as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu four times in 1991, 2001, 2002 and 2011.

V. Shanmuganthan has been appointed as Meghalaya Governor.

Mr J P Rajkhowa has been appointed as the new Governor of Arunachal Pradesh who will replace Lt. General (Retd.) Nirbhay Sharma who has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Mizoram for the remainder of his term.

Former Odisha Minister Droupadi Murmu will be the new Governor of Jharkhand. She will replace Dr Syed Ahmed who has been transferred to Manipur for remaining period of his term.

Former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa and three of her associates were acquitted in an illegal assets case by a single judge of the Karnataka High Court on Monday morning.

The unanimous resolution was adopted during a closed door meeting of the legislature parties and Independent MLAs constituting Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), held at Chief Minister's residential office in Kohima on 11th May’15.

Tathagata Roy will be the Governor of Tripura.
