▼ MP government approves 33% reservation for women in government jobs [10-30-15]
MP Government on 28th October 2015 has allowed 33% reservation for women up from the present 30 percent in government jobs. State Cabinet also proposed providing compensation to farmers.

▼ Poland and 3 Baltic States sign agreement [10-26-15]
Poland and 3 Baltic states- Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia signed a grant agreement on Gas Interconnector Poland-Lithuania in Brussels, Belgium. Agreement facilities first gas pipeline between Poland and Lithuania. Agreement was signed by reps of 3 countries at the EU headquarters.

▼ MoD approves induction of women in IAF combat stream [10-26-15]
Ministry of Defence on 24th October 2015 has given the approval for the induction of women into the IAF combat stream, clearing the way for women to fly warplanes for the first time. First batch of women pilots will be commissioned into IAF in June 2016. Earlier in the week, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha has announced a major policy shift indicating women should be allowed to become fighter pilots. Currently, there are 1500 women in IAF of which 90 are pilots and 15 are navigators.

▼ Haryana government announces NILP [10-26-15]
HHPUC will be created in the following areas- Gurgaon-Manesar, Faridabad-Ballabhgarh, Sohna, Sonepat-Kundli, Panipat and Panchkula - Kalka-Pinjore. NILP 2015 policy will also bring acclaimed models of TDR/Transferable Development Rights along with unique provisions to the state.

▼ Suman Sharma appointed chairperson of Rajasthan State Commission for Women [10-19-15]
CM Vasundhara Raje has appointed loyalist Suman Sharma as chairperson of Rajasthan State Commission for Women apart from selecting Pilani MLA Sunder Lal Kaka as chairman of Rajasthan State Commission for Scheduled Castes and ex MP Gopal Pan cherwal as chairman of Rajasthan State Safai Karmchari Aayog. All three leaders have been given the status of minister of state. Commissions and boards awaiting political appointments in the state include Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission, Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Rajasthan State Commission for Minorities and Rajasthan Information Commission, among others.

▼ Buta Singh rejoins Congress [10-5-15]
Politician and veteran leader Buta Singh has rejoined the party on October 2nd, a year away from assembly elections in Punjab. He is from the Balmiki community and was welcomed back by leaders from the Congress. In the previous 2 LS elections, he fought as an independent candidate from Jalore in Rajasthan. A union home minister during the late 80s in the Rajiv Gandhi government, he was inducted as Bihar Governor, a post he retained from 2004 to 2006. His son, Arvinder Singh Lovely, is a member of BJP.
