What are Caching and Purging in Siebel?- Purging is an EAI data mapping engine method.
- This can be used only in the development mode.
- It should be used to purge the database of an existing map.
- This method is used when you want to change the map and run after changing the map.
- Purging cache is the process of deleting entries from the query cache.
Following are the ways to purge the cache entries:
I. Manually, using the administration tool cache manager facility.
II. Automatically, by setting the cache persistence time field in the physical table dialog box for a particular table.
III. Automatically, by setting up a Siebel analytics server event polling table.
IV. Automatically, as the cache storage space fills up.map
