BCA or bachelor of computer applications is the course that can be done after any stream. The eligibility criteria requires 12th pass students. Some of the colleges include passing mathematics in the 12th standard as one of the essential qualifications for applying for this course. However there are some others that admits students even without mathematics as a subject in 12th. But, students need to study mathematics as one of the subjects during the course of study while pursuing BCA.
To get admission to BCA, state level or All India entrance test is conducted and admission is based on the scores secured in this entrance test. It sometimes becomes for the commerce students without knowledge of computer applications to score well in such entrance. There are some other set of institutions that offer this course to the commerce students without entrance examination.
