The post-graduate program in Horticulture is a 2 year course and good field of choice for students following Botany in graduation. This field largely focus on Plant cultivation, Research and Genetics, plant breeding, seed technology, Plant physiology and their biochemistry.
The course has job vacancies in both public and private sector. Some of the Government jobs include:
- Agricultural Departments
- Forestry Departments
- Fertilizer Industry
- Lecturer in Colleges etc.
Some of the private sector jobs are:
- Agricultural Machinery manufacturing units
- Food and Technology Industry
- Fertilizer production units
- Plantations
- Agricultural products marketing
- Production and marketing of ornamental plants etc.
