Is it possible to attempt the CPT exam before appearing for the 12th standard board exams? I am going to appear for my 12th boards next year in March 2017, can I attempt CPT in December 2016?

CPT or the Common Proficiency Test can be given only after passing the 12th standard. The registration for the CPT opens up for students soon after passing the 10th standard. However, the students can take the examination only after passing the 12th standard examination.
The registration usually opens around February. To appear for the exam in June 2017, students can get registered latest by Feb 2017. Students can appear for their 12th exams and then prepare for their CPT before giving their attempt in June. The time period following the 12th exams would be good period to join some good coaching and then give a valuable attempt for CPT in June. For those who prefer more time for preparation can appear for CPT in December.
