How long should my resume be?

I'm a fresher. How long should my resume be?

For a beginner of the career, a resume limited to a single page is apt and justifiable. Restricting the resume to one page does not mean to shrink the font size and margins. A resume without work experience could be well formatted in a single page.

There could be occasional candidates who have relevant experience of internships, summer-job etc. which could add weight to their resume and career. There are also aspirants who have enough experience of extra-curricular activities, leadership and sports participation. These individuals can go with a two page resume, briefly listing out their relevant achievements/ experience. They can have a page two section with ‘Key leadership skills’ or ‘project management’ etc.
