Library Science, the course details and eligibility criteria

I want to pursue post-graduation in some unconventional field. I found Library Science as one such option which is also job oriented. Please share the course details for course in Library Science and the eligibility criteria for the same.

The Library Science course was offered as B Lib, but the same course is available in advanced form as Bachelor of Library Science (BLS) or Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc). The Library and Information Science lays more emphasis on the IT skills, Management and computerized operation of the library. The BLISc is 1 year long post graduate program which instills the skills and techniques of Librarianship. The eligibility criteria for the same is graduates from any field with around 50% aggregate.

This course imparts special skills in students like handling of books and documents, classification of books, information handling, use of computers for the library requirements, library procedures etc.
