I would like to join Indian Coast Guard as Navik. What is the eligibility criteria and the procedure for the same?

The entry level as a sailor i.e. Navik (General Duty) in Indian Coast Guard is only for the unmarried Male candidates. The Navik in General Duty can specialize in any other available courses after getting selected. The age limit for applying for this post in between 18-22 years.
Students nee to comply to the educations qualification requirements and meet the medical standards for applying. 12th pass students from science stream with physics and mathematics as subjects and minimum of 60% aggregate is the educational criteria of eligibility. On medical standards the height should be minimum 157 cm and the weight in proportion to the height. Eyesight of 6/6 and normal hearing ability is expected.
Candidates need to apply online on their website and then appear for the written examination which would be objective type. Those who clear the written examination are called for the physical fitness tests and after clearing this phase, finally the students have to take up a medical test. The final selection of candidates into the course is based on the combined score of written examination, physical and medical test.
