I was writing my resume and wanted to give it a correct angle. What is the actual purpose of writing a resume?
Can my resume get me the job?

A resume is a document that bridges between the candidate and the hiring organization. The organization provides their requirements for the profile through advertisements or consultants. But the candidate who is applying for the job, need to explain their relevant qualification and experience for the given profile to the hiring members of the organization. The resume plays the role of transferring those relevant bit of information to the interviewer.
A resume is more than a casual document. The resume, its format and the way of listing details makes the interviewer reach the candidate. The resume is the document which makes the consultant get in touch with the candidate, that makes the HR person forward the resume to the relevant department, and this document is the key to impress the interviewer and get the interview call. Provide only the relevant details and modify the resume every time according to the profile applied for.
