The eligibility is mainly 60% aggregate in higher secondary level examination. Age limit ranges from 17-21 years. Only male students, who are unmarried are eligible to apply for SSR – Sailor.
Application forms availability is usually advertised in newspapers or the forms can also be dowloaded from joinindiannavy.gov.in. The candidates are made to appear for written test, physical fitness test and then medical check up for the selection process. The minimum height should be 157 cm and weight in proportion to the height. The minimum chest expansion expected is 5 cm. ^/6 vision without glasses and colour perception of CP2 with good mental health is required.
