B Sc Forestry is a field of science which is very close to nature. Those students who have a bonding for nature and interested in adventurous outdoor activities can enter this field. Students who love to be a part of nature and have a fearless flaw to work outside close to the nature would enjoy this field of study.

Unlike other B Sc courses, it is a 4 year course divided into 8 semesters. This program not only covers the theoretical subjects, but also consists of practical sessions which are organized in the form of educational tours and workshops. The basic eligibility remains the 12th pass from a recognized board / university in PCB. Most of the institutes demand around 50% aggregate.

The main responsibilities in the role are:

- Conservation of forests
- Conservation of Forest Resources
- Managing and Developing Forest Resources
- Conservation and Protection of Wildlife etc.

The job opportunities comes up from the different State governments in their forest department. Some of the career opportunities are:

- Forest officers employed by the State Governments
- Plantation and Resort Manager
- Forest Product Purchasing and Marketing Manager
- Nursery Manager
- Research and Development
- Teaching – Lecturer etc.
