- In the networking process without router the Internet could not performed.
- Every router has to save some information about other routers.
- When the network size grows, the number of routers in the network increases and the size of routing tables also increases, and then the routers can't handle network traffic as efficiently.
- And therefore, hierarchical routing is used to overcome this problem.
- Using hierarchical routing it reduces the routing table size.
- The main advantage of the hierarchical routing is scalability. It shows the capability of the router when the specific operations are performed on the network.
