    What is Alpha testing?

    - It is a final testing before the release of software to the general public.

    - This testing is simulated or actual operational testing by potential users or customers.

    Characteristics of Alpha testing :

    - It is also called as factory acceptance testing.

    - This test takes place at developers sites and involves testing of the operational system by internal staff before it is released to external customers.
