- The rotary displacement pumps come under the category of positive displacement pumps.
- These pumps combine the advantages of reciprocating and centrifugal pumps.
- Rotary displacement pumps are positive in action and are well compact also. These pumps can produce an even flow and do not have valves. They can handle almost any liquid that does not contain hard and abrasive solid, including viscous liquids. Therefore, rotary displacement pumps are suitable for handling oils but they are unsuitable for gritty liquids.
