- The product of force and the distance over which force is applied is workdone.
- Specified work can be done by applying constant external force, frictional force, spring force.
- When particle moves along a horizontal plane, the work done by gravity is zero and the work done on an inclined plane is mgS sin θ.
- The S.I. unit of work done is N.m or Joule.
