Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar has inaugurated the Bharat Parv at Rajpath Laws, India Gate
- It is being organised in India as part of the Independence Day celebrations in 2016
- The objective of the event is to create awareness about the cultural diversity of the country and generate a patriotic mood
- Ministry of Tourism is the nodal ministry for this event which has multi cuisine food courses, crafts mela, performances and a photo exhibition titled “Azadi 70 Saal- Yaad Karo Qurbani.”
- Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu and Dadra – Nagar Haveli, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are participating in the event.
