    - Boring operation can correct hole location, size or alignment of the hole which is already drilled in workpiece.

    - It cab produce a good finish if a fine feed and a correct tools are used.

    - Whereas in rimming operation, the reamer tool follows the hole already in the workpiece and it cannot correct the hole location, size or alignment.

    - Even though the rimming is faster than boring, boring is often preferred over rimming, because of the advantage of hole correction.
