    - Among all the machining processes given above, Electro-Chemical Machining has highest rate of metal removal.

    - Generally the rate of metal removal for various machining processes are as follows:

    1. Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) has metal removal rate of about 10-20 mm3/s.

    2. Electro-Chemical Machining (ECM) has the highest metal removal rate of about 200-300 mm3/s

    3. Ultrasonic Machining (USM) has metal removal rate of about 5-10 mm3/s.

    4. Laser Beam Machining (LBM) has the lowest metal removal rate of about 0.001-0.002 mm3/s.

    5. Chemical Machining (CHM) has metal removal rate of about 0.15-30 mm3/s.
