    - The headstock of centre lathe is equipped with a step-cone pulleys or a gear head drive.

    - Thus, The centre lathe receive their power through headstock.

    - Headstock is permanently fastened at the left hand end of centre lathe.

    - It supports the spindle and driving arrangements.

    - The headstock spindle is made hollow to allow long bar to pass through.

    - Gear box controls are fixed inside the headstock.
