    - During recrystallization new strain free grains are produced in metals during hot working process and hence internal stresses are not produced. Strain hardening caused due to deformation distorts grain structures. This effect is eliminated in hot working process.

    - Less energy is required to deform a metal in hot working process. At high temperatures the metal becomes soft and plastic.

    - Hot working process improves impact strength, toughness and ductility of metals but they have poor surface finish due to rapid oxidation.

    - In hot working process, work hardening does not occur. Forging, rolling, hot spinning and hot extruding are the types of hot working processes.

    - This process requires expensive tools, eliminates blow holes and porosity.

    - Deformation and recovery occurs simultaneously in this process.
