    - Incremental backup saves only files that have changed recently.

    - It provides a backup of latest change since the last back up.

    - The main purpose of an incremental backup is to preserve and protect data by creating copies that are based on the differences in those data.

    - It contains the only portion that has changed since the preceding backup copy was made.
