    - Malcolm Balbridge National Award is presented to different organizations for quality and excellent performance by president of USA.

    Three awards are given for the following six categories:
    a) Manufacturing
    b) Service company
    c) Small business
    d) Education
    e) Health care
    f) Non profit

    - To raise awareness of quality organization and management this award was designed and is awarded to American companies which demonstrate successful implementation of quality and management.

    - This award is named after Malcom Balbridge. He was a popular secretary of commerce from 1981 to 1987. This award is given to business- manufacturing, health care, educational organizations,etc on the basis of 'Criteria and Performance Excellence' which includes seven points.

    - These seven points include: leadership, strategic planning, work focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, etc
