The first woman to head a major commercial bank in Pakistan was named on 27th March 2017 in a landmark move where the glass ceiling holds firm.
Sima Kamil is currently the deputy CEO of the country's third largest lender United Bank Limited, taking charge on June 1, as per the directors.
She is the first chief of any commercial bank.
