    - Gross Man's method is used to measure hardenability of metals. Brinell hardness method and Rockwell hardness method is used to measure hardness.

    - Hardenability is not a mechanical property but a qualitative property. It is a heat treatment process which is defined as depth of hardness in given conditions.

    - Hardness is a mechanical and quantitative property.
