    - Cost of quality is subdivided into three parts as follows:

    1) Cost of failure
    2) Cost of appraisal
    3) Cost of prevention

    - Prevention cost is further classified as quality improvement planning, training and preventive maintenance. It accounts for 10% of quality cost.
