The Petrol and Natural Gas ministry marked the achievement of one crore consumers joining the GiveItUp movement started at the Urja Sangam conclave. Via the GiveItUp initiative, government of India has urged well off customers to surrender their subsidy and help poor families having no LPG connection through subsidy savings.
  • More than 60 lakh connections have been given to the BPL families as part of this initiative.
