MSO has been optimized to handle the mixed signals detected in an embedded system. As it is behaves as an analog real time oscilloscope with parallel processing architecture consisting of 2 to 4 analog channels and 16 digital channels, its capture rate and sampling rate are estimated to be 105 waveforms/sec and 2Gs/s respectively.

DPO also exhibits parallel processing architecture with 2 to 4 channel modes whose sampling rate is up to 100 Gs/s while DSO has a serial processing architecture with 2 to 4 channel modes whose sampling rate is 20 Gs/s.

However, different kinds of oscilloscopes exhibit assortments in their sampling rates on the basis of sampling mechanism executed by them.
