NASA”s Juno mission to Jupiter on 13th January 2016 broke the record to become the most distant solar powered emissary of humanity. The spacecraft reached 793 million km from the Sun. Previous record holder was ESA’s Rossetta spacecraft. Juno will arrive at Jupiter on July 4th. Over the next year, the spacecraft will orbit the Jovian world a total of 33 times.
