October 28, 2016 was observed as the National Ayurveda Day across the nation by AYUSH Ministry.
- The Ministry also organised a day-long seminar on national range for the prevention and control of diabetes on the occasion.
- Mission "Madhumedha" was also launched on this occasion through a specially designed National Treatment Protocol for effective management of Diabetes through Ayurveda.
- Advisor to the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy informed states across the country about the decision and the theme will be "Ayurveda for Prevention and Control of Diabetes".
