India’s lightest gun Nidar was recently launched by a state run arms factory. It weighs 250 grams and costs USD 513. Nirbheek is India’s first gun for women and costs INR 122,360 rupees. Both Nirbhaya and Nirbheek are synonyms of Nirbhaya, the India’s press’s name for 23 year old Jyoti Singh, the victim of the December 2012 gangrape.
