    Given: 500 mm is the distance of centre of gravity from small end, period of oscillation = 1.5 sec/cycle

    Periodic time of oscillation is given as tp = 2π √ [(k2 + l2) / gl]

    Substituting the given values, we get

    1.5 = 2 π [√ [(k2 + l2) / gl]
    1.5 = 2 π [√ [(k2 + 0.52) / 9.81 x 0.5]

    Radius of gyration (k) = 0.1719 mm
