Given: Base of triangular beam section = 60 mm, height of triangular beam section = 150 mm, shear force = 30 kN

    Formula: Shear stress at neutral axis = (8/3) x (S / bh)

    Solution:

    Shear stress at neutral axis = (8/3) x (S / bh)

    = (8/3) x [(30 x 103) / (60 x 150)]

    = 8.88 N/mm2

Shear stress acting along the neutral axis of triangular beam section is 8.88 N/mm2
