    - Maximum and minimum values of resultant are 1000 N and 500 N

    - Let A and B are the two forces acting

    - Therefore, Rmax = A + B = 1000 N and Rmin = A - B = 500 N

    Therefore, solving the equations, we get

    2 A = 1500

    A = 750 N

    A + B = 1000

    B = 1000 – 750 = 250 N
