On 27th Mar’15 Rajasthan Govt. passed the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Bill, 2015 which stipulates a minimum qualification of Class X pass from a recognized board for contesting election for the post of member of Zila Parishad or Panchayat Samiti while minimum qualification of class VIII pass has been stipulated for the post of Sarpanch (village head).
