Mr. Shanta Kumar is a senior BJP leader and MP from Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. In a letter written to the Speaker , he said that in last few days this subsidies has been the subject of discussion in the media and people's representatives are being mocked in the country. He said that MPs are able to spend on their refreshments and food therefore there is no need of such subsidy.
