    - The operator controlled machine tool and the numerical controlled machine tool are similar in first two steps and they are component drawing and process planning.

    - But the main disadvantage of operator controlled machine tool over numerical controlled machine tool is that the machine tool requires operator to control it.

    - In NC machine tool the operator is replaced by data processing part of the system and the control unit.

    - The device, fed to the control unit of NC machine tool which sends the position command signals to sideway transmission elements of the machine, is called as tape.

    - Also the command signal is also compared constantly by feedback signal.
