The Unlawful Activities Prevention Tribunal comprising a Delhi HC judge was set up to assess whether there is sufficient cause for declaring NSCN(K) an unlawful association under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
  • It has upheld the ban on NSCN (K) for 5 years
  • MHA on September 16, 2015 declared NSCN (K) an unlawful organisation for 5 years after breaking the unilateral ceasefire by attacking the India Army on June 4.
