Venezuela’s opposition won control of the National Assembly by a landslide, stunning the ruling party and altering the balance of power 17 years after the socialist revolution began in the country. Opposition coalition won a total of 99 seats in the incoming 167-seat legislature according to electoral authorities. Ruling party won less than half of the seats won by the Opposition coalition.
