Ductility is a mechanical property of metals in which metals deform under tensile stress. It is the ability of a metal to deform plastically without any fracture. Ductility is expresses as % elongation and is the ability of metals to be drawn into fine wires. Due to metallic bonds high degree of ductility is observed in metals.

Depending upon alloy constituents of steel ductility varies. Ductility of metals decreases as carbon content increases.
    Platinum is most ductile metal.
