    - Image acquisition and digitization is a segment of machine vision. Machine vision is a non-contact type automated inspection system.

    - The spatial resolution of stored image is decided by pixels or pels. An analog to digital converter called as frame grabber converts analog voltage levels of camera into digital words.

    - Frame stores are used to store data obtained from the frame grabber.
