What is a hardware loopback plug? A hardware loopback pug is a simple device for redirecting the outgoing transmissions from a system directly back into it. They are used in conjunction with software that diagnoses transmission problems. Loop back plugs are available both as serial ports and parallel ports. A hardware loop back plug loops the outgoing data signal wires back into the system on the signal line which has incoming signal.
