Introduction to Conjunctions
What is a Conjunction?
Conjunction is a part of speech that are used to connect various clauses/sentences/phrases in a construction.
There are three basic types of conjunctions:
1. Coordinating Conjunctions
FANBOYS – for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so
2. Subordinating Conjunctions
Although, because, since, unless, until, while, as soon as, etc.
3. Correlative Conjunctions – Always used in pairs.
For e.g. either/or, neither/nor, and not only/but also, etc.
